About Jim Garven

Jim Garven holds appointments at Baylor University as the Frank S. Groner Memorial Chair of Finance, Professor of Finance & Insurance, and RMI Program Director, and at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania as a Visiting Scholar. He also serves as an associate editor for Geneva Risk and Insurance Review and Journal of Risk and Insurance, and is past president of two learned societies: the Risk Theory Society, and the American Risk and Insurance Association.

At Baylor, Jim has taught courses in managerial economics, risk management, and financial engineering, and his research interests are in corporate risk management, insurance economics, and option pricing theory and applications.  More information about Jim can be found at his official Baylor University website.
